MissionUrafields is a newly created company focused on consolidating uranium resources in Namibia and South Africa, with the intention of developing projects to the point they can be mined.
These two countries offer an unrivalled environment for uranium mining, given their stable governments and infrastructure, and the ability to conduct business without political interference. They also offer easy access to advanced mining experience, expertise and technology.
The company – which owns exploration rights over land containing projected reserves contains several billion lbs of U3O8 – intends to develop these assets solely for energy generation. Demand for uranium is set to rise substantially, partly as a consequence of efforts to tackle climate change.
It is also engaged in prospecting for uranium elsewhere in Africa.
